The Visibility Edit: A public-facing narrative package
The Visibility Edit is a public-facing narrative package for folks who need stronger language around who they are, what they do, and how they should be introduced when opportunities start calling.
Ring, ring!
This service is for the person whose work is already happening, but whose supporting materials aren’t yet reflecting that clearly enough. Whether you’re preparing for speaking engagements, media features, partnerships, brand collaborations, panel invitations, press opportunities, grant applications, or general visibility, this package was designed to help you show up with language that feels more aligned, intentional, and ready.
Too many people are doing meaningful work while still relying on old bios, vague introductions, scattered talking points, or written materials that do not fully capture the depth of what they carry. The Visibility Edit helps change that. This package is about creating public-facing assets that make it easier for others to understand your work, speak about you properly, and position you with more clarity.
What’s Included:
One short-form bio: A polished and concise version of your story that can be used for event programs, speaker pages, social platforms, media asks, and other spaces where you need to communicate who you are clearly and quickly.
One long-form bio: A fuller and more detailed version of your story designed to offer depth, credibility, and context. This is ideal for websites, partnership materials, grant applications, media features, and professional platforms where a more expansive introduction is needed.
One speaker or host introduction: A thoughtfully written introduction that can be used by moderators, interviewers, hosts, or collaborators to introduce you with more care, intention, and accuracy. This helps ensure you aren’t being reduced to vague language that doesn’t match the level of your work.
One public-facing overview: A clear and polished summary of your work, positioning, and offerings that can be used to support speaking opportunities, media requests, collaborations, partnerships, and other visibility-related asks. This piece helps others understand the bigger picture of who you are and what you bring.
One 30-minute onboarding call: This call takes place after your questionnaire has been submitted and reviewed. It gives us space to clarify your goals, discuss your audience, and ensure the language is being shaped with the right opportunities in mind.
One 30-minute wrap-up call: This call takes place after revisions have been completed. It gives us space to review the final materials, answer any lingering questions, and help you feel more grounded in how to use these assets moving forward.
Two rounds of revisions: These are included to ensure the final language feels aligned, accurate, and reflective of both your voice and your work. Revisions are intended for thoughtful refinement within the original scope of the project.
How It Works:
After purchase, you will receive a questionnaire and service agreement. Both are required before work begins.
The questionnaire is designed to gather the context, nuance, and detail needed to shape your materials thoughtfully. This includes information about your work, your voice, your audience, your goals, and the kinds of visibility opportunities you are seeking or preparing for. The agreement outlines the scope of work, timeline, revision policy, client responsibilities, and full terms and conditions connected to the service.
Your 30-minute onboarding call will take place after your questionnaire has been submitted and reviewed. The 30-minute wrap-up call will take place after revisions have been completed.
Turnaround Time:
Standard turnaround time is 10-12 business days
Turnaround begins only once all required materials have been received in full
If materials are submitted late or incomplete, the turnaround window will shift accordingly
Revisions:
Two rounds of revisions are included
Revisions are intended for thoughtful refinements, clarification, and adjustments within the original scope of the project
Any significant rewrites, added deliverables, or new direction introduced after the project has begun may be subject to an additional fee
Expedited Support:

To inquire about rush support, please email hello@vanessasmithers.com
Please Note:
This package is focused on written positioning assets and doesn’t include graphic design
